Watson (Mama Dear), she attended Manassas High School where she excelled in her academics to include an induction into the Mu Alpha Theta Mathematics Honor Society. She also played the clarinet in the school's elite marching band. She would later become a Registered Nurse, her loved profession, for 35 years until retirement in 2020. She mastered in her career as an RN with recognition as one of the Top 100 Nurses in the state of TN. In addition to her nursing career, she would later develop a love for the martial arts. So much so that after enrolling and watching her sons compete in the art of Taekwondo, she decided to enroll for herself. Deborah would go on to become a champion 4th degree master black belt and open her own Taekwondo school, Jade’s ATA Black Belt Academy. As a woman of strong faith, she attended and served as an usher at Bountiful Blessings Temple of Deliverance COGIC and would later follow her brother, the late Dr. Ronald E. Rolfe, to serve under his ministry at Greater St. Mark COGIC, where she taught Sunday school and became an Evangelist. She lived her life in love and faith. A proud and blessed woman of God who loved to share her testimonies and tell everyone about His love and goodness. Deborah was a career woman, entrepreneur, and author of two books: Almost Jaded and They Just Don’t Get It. For matters of the heart, she married Lorenzo Hester where of that union she became a proud mother of three children. She would later marry Sam Beavers in which that union lasted until his death. She loved to serve in the church, serve in her community, watch cooking shows, try new recipes, and travel. However, of all her accomplishments and accolades, she was most proud of her family.

NLT-Isaiah 40:28 - 31
[28] Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. [29] He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. [30] Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. [31] But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

From the children,
Thank you for the prayers, visits, calls, and texts. We may not be able to respond to them all, but we know who you are and they have not gone unnoticed. We ask that you continue to pray for our family.
Special gratitude to our step-mother, Dr. Maria Hester, for ensuring our mother had the best team of doctors and specialists in Maryland. Thank you to the medical teams for your empathy, dedication, and efforts which often times went above and beyond for our mother’s care.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make donations in our mother’s honor to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation (komen.org) and/or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (nationalmssociety.org).
