Terese Levy Obituary

Terese Gwen Levy, more affectionately known as Aunt Terese, was a loving, caring and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend. She was born on March 21, 1961 in Washington, DC to parents Cyrus and Julia Levy and died on April 18, 2024 in Rockville, MD. Terese was the sixth of eleven children and grew up in a loving home. She is the Mother of three daughters and grandmother of two granddaughters. Terese was educated in DC public schools and also attended UDC and Montgomery College where she studied and earned certifications in early childhood education. Terese spent her life joyously caring for many children and families in her community. She successfully ran a daycare center for over twenty years and also worked in childcare centers in the county.

Known for her kindness, pure heart, and loving spirit Terese enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, caring for children, cooking and reading. She also had a love for music (Maze & Frankie Beverly, Luther Vandross and Whitney Houston), TV games shows and hours long phone calls with her twin sister Denise. Terese was rooted in her Christian faith and her love for all people. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her loving spirit.  They will forever cherish and miss her infectious laugh and her delicious chicken and rice.

Terese is survived by her three beloved daughters Kimberly Wade, Tiffaney Mills and Melanie Levy, her two granddaughters Faith Wade and Savannah Mills, her sisters Sylvia Greene, Julie Boone, Denise Williams (twin), Vicky Champion, and Gail Levy as well as her youngest brother Mark Levy and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Cyrus and Julia Levy, her brothers Dennis Levy, Cyrus (Junebug) Levy, Harold Levy, Ray Levy and her nephews Steven Levy and Mannie Levy.

During her life Terese touched the lives of many parents, children, family members, and friends. She also played an instrumental role in the caring and nurturing of her two granddaughters. May she forever rest in peace.
