Frederick “Freddy” Leighton-Armah, beloved son of Dean and Mansa Leighton-Armah and older brother to William Leighton-Armah, was called home to be with the Lord in the early hours of Saturday, October 12, 2019.
Freddy was born on February 9, 1987, and grew up in Poolesville and Boyds, MD. He attended Bullis School in Potomac, MD, and graduated from Loyola University in Baltimore, MD.
Freddy was a man of many talents and passions. As a youth, he played football, basketball, and was a member of the 2005 All Met lacrosse team. As a young man, he discovered a love for cooking, painting, and music.
Freddy was a gentle soul whose laid-back nature and easy smile endeared him to those who were fortunate enough to be around him. He was on constant journey of self-discovery and learning.
He leaves behind his parents, brother, friends, and extended family who remember him fondly and miss him dearly.
Services will be held at Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church (Maryland) on Saturday November 2, 2019. Interment will follow at the All Souls Cemetery in Germantown.
