Iris Jones Obituary

Iris Jones (formerly known as Iris Clipper) was called home to rest on Friday July 27, 2018 at Doey’s Hospice Center in Hagerstown, MD. She was born to the late Julia M. Duvall and Arthur G. Clipper in Seneca, MD on June 4, 1950.

Iris choose many different career paths in her life which included nursing and bus attendant for Montgomery County Public Schools. Iris loved being around her family and friends. She opened her home and heart to many. She enjoyed bar-b-ques and listening to music.

Affectionately known as “Susie”, she is survived by four children, George McDonald III, Latonia Johnson, Yolanda Stewart, Cornelius McDonald; significant other Tommy Riley; three brothers, Arthur Clipper, Warner Clipper; Gregory Prather; three sisters, Patricia Snowden, Marilyn Matthews, Juanetta Prather; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; son in law Chris Stewart; daughter in law Donna McDonald; two sister in laws Cindy Clipper, Trevia Prather and a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Ronnie Clipper, Harold Clipper; three sisters Thelma Clipper, Joyce Clipper and Diane Clipper.
