Jonathan Wilson Mason was born to Rochelle Clark and Wilson Mason, Jr. in Denver Colorado. He was raised in Franklin, Texas and Boulder, Colorado. He attended Reynolds Elementary School in Franklin, and in Boulder, Whittier Elementary, Baseline Middle School, and graduated from Boulder High School.
Jonathan was very athletic in middle and high schools playing defense for The Boulder High Panthers football team and competing for the school wrestling team. Jonathan attended The University of Colorado-Denver and majored in history and political science. During a period he desired to become a teacher and worked with special needs students at Boulder High School.
While in college, Jonathan worked the night security shift for Kaiser Health Care in Aurora. In 2017, he moved to Rockville, Maryland and worked for Coca – Cola Distributing until he obtained employment at Halliburton in Ohio where he was employed until a car accident. At the time of his death, he was employed by Navy at Walter Reed as a chef in the Child Development Center.
Jonathan had a vociferous laugh, politeness, and giving personality. He loved American history and the rich history of this area and enjoyed visiting historical sites in his spare time.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, and loving grandparents.
To mourn his earthly departure and cherish his memory he leaves his mother Rochelle Clark, brothers Dashawn Conner and Ankoma Mason, and sister Tara Mason, caring stepmother Claire Mason, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
