Julia Elizabeth Wade was born February 13, 1946 to Mary Louise Wade in Washington, DC. She was reared in Rockville, MD and attended Rock Terrace Elementary School, Edwin W. Broome Middle School and graduated from Richard Montgomery Senior High School. As a mental health care giver and Certified Food Handler, Julia enjoyed employment with the Ward and Ward Mental Health Services for the last eight years. She truly loved helping people and was loved by her clients and management.
Julia's religious training began very early in the Church of God and Saints of Christ in Washington, DC. She sang Alto in the Junior Choir and at age twelve, she formally joined the Church and was baptized. She retired from the choir at age 69 but continued supporting the choir with her wonderful alto voice. Julia enjoyed working for the Church, under the leadership of the Pastor Chief Evangelist Jehu Wade, her son. She served as Church Trustee and Chairperson of the Pastor's Table committee. She also held two National positions: United States Special Daughter to the late Bishop Robert H. Stallings, Sr. and she was recently elevated to the Ministry of Defense, under the current leadership of her Chief Executive Officer Bishop Corey L. Hendricks, assigned to the former First Lady of the Church, Mother Myrtle Stallings. In her spare time, Julia enjoyed traveling, knitting and solving puzzles. Julia loved making people laugh, she had a very warm and infectious personality which was evident when socializing with family and friends.
Julia's mother, United States Charitable Chairman St. Louise Wade and only brother, Chorister Bro. Michael Wade Sr. proceeded her in death, conversely, she was the loving and doting mother of St. Rita Louise Wade, and Fiancé (Delton Hill, Sr.) and Jehu Samuel Wade Sr., and wife (St. Tanya Wade). grandmother to Brandi, Alicia, Kelly, Tanaya, Janelle, Jehu Jr., and great-grandmother to Kimberly and Isreal. Julia also leaves her dear sister-in-law Rebecca along with a host of loving family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends.
