Mila Saw David-Jackson

Mila Saw David Jackson was granted her angel wings on July 29,2019. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Mila had touched in some small way throughout her memorable life.

Mila was a very kind and fun-loving person who enjoyed life. She could always make people laugh in her own goofy way. Music brought her joy. She often liked listening to her old school songs, but was also hip to the latest songs and dances. She loved the casino, bingo, collecting Tweety Bird and Betty Boop. And M&M’s. Mila was a free spirit and appreciated people from all walks of life. She took great pride in her heritage and was proud to call herself a “David”. She loved her family with great passion and was a historian who kept phots, memorabilia, and even connected with our long lost/newly found relatives all across the world.

Although in her final days she was delicate, she would want us to remember her dancing and laughing, enjoying good times with the people she loved most in life. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She will surely be missed and we will all remember her very distinct voice and how she would call us, “Hey ____ (her nickname for us)” before she would begin telling us stories from the past.

Mila is survived by her loving partner in life; Gregory Jackson; her children, Jasmin David Holly, Reginald Anthony David Walker, Amarosemarie David Walker, and Gregory David Jackson, Jr.; her 8 grandchildren, as well as her four older brothers, nieces and nephews.
