Rhonda Lynn Brown, age 65, eldest daughter of the late Clarence and Constance Brown, was born February 22, 1954 in Youngstown, Ohio. Rhonda departed this life on Monday, June 17, 2019 at her home in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Rhonda loved to listen to music. One of her favorite bands was Bootsy Collins and the Parliament Funkadelic. When she was younger she loved to ride around in her 1970 Chevy Nova with her music playing loud. Rhonda loved to cook and entertain. The Washington Redskins football team was her favorite team and she hated the Dallas Cowboys with a passion. She would throw chips and popcorn at the TV. Rhonda was not afraid to speak her mind, even if it got her into trouble, and it did a lot…. But Rhonda’s first love was for her kids and her grandkids…
Later in life Rhonda was restricted to a wheelchair but that did not stop her from getting around. She loved seeing her grandkids when they came over to visit. One of her favorite rituals every year was to fill out the squares for the teams and scores for the Super Bowl and watch the game even if her beloved Redskins were not in the game. She enjoyed painting, loved to sing and was becoming a very crafty seamstress. Rhonda was a creative beautician and eager to try out new and different hair styles.
Rhonda you will be missed…….
Survivors who will cherish her memory are her two children, Jada Monet and Ian Craig, and eight grandchildren, Aaron, Ian, Leah, Alicia, Asia, Ray, Ava and Alexa, and one great grandchild, Logan, her sister, Tanya and a brother Keith and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She joins her beloved Mom and Dad, Clarence and Constance Brown in Heaven.
