Vernetta Delores Bacon

Mrs. Vernetta Bacon affectionately known as "Moochie" was born on September 8, 1933 to Sadie and Jake Tracy in Silver Spring, MD she departed this life on August 25, 2019 at Casey House in Rockville, MD.

Vernetta was educated at Lincoln High School in Rockville, MD. Vernetta had a passion for watching foo tball, her favorite team was the Baltimore Ravens. She also enjoyed playing the lottery, going to Atlantic City Casinos, and dancing.

Vernetta, was meticulously clean and neat; she kept her kids so spotless that they were not even allowed to sit on the furniture.

Vernetta met Ernest in 1949 when she was only 16, and he was 20 they dated for 5 years, then in 1954 she and Ernest married. Their union was blessed with six children that they loved and raised together for 54 years until Ernest sadly passed away in November 2008.

Vernetta leaves behind her children, Avena Bacon, Jose Bacon, Armelito Bacon, Arnold Bacon, Shantel Bacon, and Darnes Bacon. Thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, two brothers Bradford Tracy, and Reginald Tracy, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and a host of friends.

Vernetta was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers.
