Adriana Jesus Covington

Adriana Covington, a loving mother, grandmother and caring friend, passed away on Monday, July 5th, 2021 at her home in Olney, MD. She was born on July 5th, 1958 to Jose Aguilar and Elsa Escobar de Aguilar in her native country of Guatemala. She first immigrated to the US in 1981 and gained her citizenship in 2019. She spent much of her career as a caregiver for both the elderly and the young. She was known for her feistiness, remarkable cooking skills, her passion for gardening, and being there to support loved ones in need. She will be deeply missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known her. 

She is survived by 4 children (Adriana Elizabeth Aguilar, Robert Covington, Nicole Covington, Richard Covington) and 6 grandchildren (Gabriel Tuckhorn, Analice Covington, Andrew Robinson, David Covington, Kingston Robinson, Hailey Covington), 8 siblings (Pilar  Aguilar de Vallejos, Noelia Aguilar Escobar, Lesbia Aguilar vda. De Morales, Elvita Aguilar Escobar, Luis Aguilar Escobar, Oswaldo Aguilar Escobar, Juan Carlos Aguilar Escobar, Elsita Aguilar de González) as well as several special nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents (Elsa Escobar de Aguilar, Jose Aguilar Arango) and her brother (Jose Emilio Aguilar Escobar).

Adriana Covington, una madre, abuela y amiga cariñosa, falleció el lunes 5 de julio de 2021 en su casa en Olney, MD. Nació el 5 de julio de 1958 de padres José y Elsa Aguilar en su país natal de Guatemala. Emigró a los Estados Unidos en 1981 y obtuvo su ciudadanía en 2019. Pasó gran parte de su carrera como cuidadora tanto de ancianos como de niños. Era conocida por su carácter fuerte y animada, sus habilidades culinarias, su pasión por la jardinería y su deseo de apoyar a sus seres más queridos. Todos los que tuvieron la suerte de conocerla la extrañarán profundamente.

Le sobreviven 4 hijos (Adriana Elizabeth Aguilar, Robert Covington, Nicole Covington, Richard Covington) y 6 nietos (Gabriel Tuckhorn, Analice Covington, Andrew Robinson, David Covington, Kingston Robinson, Hailey Covington), 8 hermanos (Pilar Aguilar de Vallejos, Noelia Aguilar Escobar, Lesbia Aguilar vda. De Morales, Elvita Aguilar Escobar, Luis Aguilar Escobar, Oswaldo Aguilar Escobar, Juan Carlos Aguilar Escobar, Elsita Aguilar de González) así como varias sobrinas, sobrinos y familiares extendidos.Ella es precedida en su partida por sus padres (Elsa Escobar de Aguilar, José Aguilar Arango) y su hermano (José Emilio Aguilar Escobar).
