Adrianne Vollisa Bell, 63, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025, and is now reunited in eternity with her beloved husband, Ruize A. Bell, Sr. She was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express.
Born on October 22, 1962, in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late William L. Brooks and the late Elinor M. Brooks. Adrianne was a graduate of Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick. She married the love of her life, Ruize A. Bell, Sr., on June 23, 2001.
Adrianne was employed by Plamondon Hospitality and Emory Grove United Methodist Church, where she was a dedicated housekeeper. She enjoyed playing BINGO and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends. There wasn’t a day that went by that she didn’t call one of her grandkids. She also looked forward to family cookouts, church fish fries, and other gatherings filled with laughter and love.
Adrianne leaves to cherish her memory her children: Kendra (Michael), Tammy, Britnie, Jeremiah (Ashley), Blandon Sr., Nikita, Arsenio, Zhane’, Adrianna, and Ruize Jr. (Kiara); grandchildren: Aniyah (Isaac), Khyle (Sonih), X’Zavier, Tyleah, Jeffery, Jada, Cameron, Avayah, Bentley, Chloe, Miah, Evi, Aria, Sophia, Blandon Jr., Carlonte, and Ivy; great-grandchildren: Alaia, Ezra, and Seraphina; her sister Nannie (Phil); brothers Zeno, Billy, Lynn, and Donald; mother-in-law Barbara Ann; sisters-in-law Denise (Edward) and Debora Kay (Troy); brother-in-law William (Dinah); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Adrianne is also remembered lovingly by God-sisters Lori Palmer, Tammy Cain, and Kelly Ambush; dear friends Priscilla Scott, Yvette Jones, Sandra Lyles, Sondra Jackson, and Natausha Adamson and family. She also cherished the children of her heart, who considered her a second mother: Felicia McLean, Katrina McLean, Sahara Valentine, Katie Weedon, and Nathan Tyler.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Terenissa “Susie” Harding and Vivian Brooks; brothers Rev. Charles P. Onley, Stanley Onley Sr., William “Pee Wee” Brooks, Dane Brooks, Raymond Brooks, and Tyrus Onley; and brothers-in-law Leo Harding Sr. and Anthony Bell Sr.
Although our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the time we were blessed to share with Adrianne. We will carry her love, wisdom, and laughter with us always.
