Allen Warfield Brooks, Jr. affectingly known as “Baby Allen” and “Lima Bean” was born December 21st, 1948 to the late Allen Warfield Brooks, Sr. and Robinette Viola Wilson in Olney, MD. Baby Allen departed this life peacefully on May 6th, 2020 in Price George’s County at Autumn Lake Healthcare.

He was educated in Montgomery County Public Schools. After graduation he served in the United States Army. Allen was honorably discharged in 1970 after serving in the Vietnam War. Upon his return home he worked as a custodian in Montgomery County Public School System and later with B&B Refuge Service.

Allen Warfield Brooks, Jr. is survived by two children Sonja (Bruce) Taylor (Carter) and Allen Brooks, III; eight grandchildren Justin Taylor, Janay Taylor, Tiara Bain, Tiara Prather, Tayla Prather, Asia Brooks, Amber Brooks, and Isaiah Brooks; his mother Robinette Brooks; brothers Richard Brooks, Gilbert Brooks (Helen), and Leonard Brooks (Francine); sister Beatrice Brooks; along with host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by father Allen Brooks, grandmother Lucy Cook (Matthews), brothers Joseph (Joe) and Robert (Bobby), sisters Denise (Susan) and Robin, and grandson Londynn Davis.
