lvarta Elizabeth Dorsey known to many as Regina was born February 23, 1952 in Bethesda, Maryland to the late Samuel and Dorothy Johnson. Regina departed this life on Monday February 10, 2020 in Germantown, Maryland.
Regina attended Montgomery County Public Schools and worked at worked at Ramada inn and Woodfin Suites for many years. During that time, she received many awards for providing outstanding services and hospitality to the guest. She also worked for many different mortgage companies, like Fleet Mortgage Group, Washington Mutual Mortgage and Mortgage Lending lnc.. She was a member of Faith Apostolic Temple with Bishop Howard Scales as her pastor. She later joined Youngs Memorial Church of Christ Holiness with Apostle Herbert Chambers as pastor. As years went by, she attended Emmanuel Temple under the leadership of Pastor Eric Jefferson.
Regina was a very caring, loving and sweet person' who made friends very easy. She had such a beautiful smile that you just could not forget, and a heart of gold that if you needed something and she had it you could get it. She loved to be around people and could talk. Her favorite color was purple and television shows was Martin, Law -n-Order, The Jefferson and Western movies. Now she loved herself some football and if course her team was Dallas Cowboys and you better not say anything bad about them. She loved to play Pokino and Bingo and do her word search puzzles. Regina loved her nieces and nephews so much and enjoyed their company. Regina loved going to Golden Corral and if she wasn't home by 4 o'clock after church we knew she was there with Barbara and Renee.
Regina leaves to cherish her memories four brothers, Robert Johnson, Leroy Johnson , Eric Burton and Joseph Owen; three sisters, Virginia Hawley, Beatrice Johnson, and Denise Johnson; two sisters in-law Patricia Johnson and Julia Owen; a host of nieces and nephews , great-nieces and nephews , and great great-nieces and nephews; a goddaughter Jernell Mason; two she called her children, Fernette Young and Robert Hebron Jr. (RJ); very devoted friends, Rita Goode, Elise Hebron, Barbara Davis, Linda Murry, Ethel Chambers Qingle) and Joanne Howard.
Regina was preceded in death by her siblings Doris Yamba, Sterling Dorsey and Harrison Johns
