Rev. Alvin Lewis Clay, Sr. was born December 26, 1937, in Monclo, Logan County, West Virginia. He departed this life on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Alvin’s professional career spanned 45 years of teaching and over 20 years as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He graduated from Bluefield State College and University of the District of Columbia and served faithfully in the support of Bluefield State Alumni Association as a life member and officer of the alumni association. Rev. Alvin and wife, Glenda, founded the Will of God Family Ministries in Marshall, Texas.
Alvin leaves to cherish his memory and legacy, his wife, Glenda, children, Karen, Alvin, Louis, and Karin. Kimberly, his second daughter. preceded him in death. Also, cherishing his memory and legacy are grandchildren, Nicholas, Robert, Paul, and Skylar. Additionally, Alvin leaves his brother, Charles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His service will be held Monday, January 27, 2025, at Inter-Faith Chapel, 3680 S Leisure World Blvd., Silver Spring, MD. Viewing at 11 AM and funeral service at 12 noon. Funeral services entrusted to Snowden Funeral Home, 246 North Washington Street, Rockville, MD 20850.
