Alvin Edwin Eastman

Alvin Edwin Eastman (July 17, 1934 – March 20, 2025), born in Harrisburg, Liberia, passed away peacefully, leaving a profound legacy of dedication to his family, scholarship, and service. Raised in Crozierville, Liberia by his grandparents, Alvin pursued his high school education at Booker Washington Agricultural Institute and obtained a bachelors degree from Cuttington University College; both institutions in Liberia. He served in education as principal for several high schools before leaving Liberia to pursue graduate studies at Syracuse University in New York where he earned an MBA. After completion of his studies, he returned to Liberia and held significant roles in the Liberian government and banking sector, notably as Vice President at the National Housing and Savings Bank. Following his relocation to the United States due to civil conflict, Alvin continued his career always exemplifying professionalism and resilience. He is lovingly remembered for his lifelong commitment to enriching the lives of those around him
