Andre Jermaine Womble

HIStory

Andre Jermaine Womble was born in Detroit Michigan on March 25, 1978, to the union of the late Charles and Bernadette (Price) Womble.

Andre attended Catholic School his entire life from Gesu Elementary (`92) to St. Martin DePorres High School (`96).

While it is nearly impossible to sum up the character and measure of a man in a few words, Andre’s words would most definitely be fun-loving and loyal.

Wherever Andre went, he was a light and the life of the party.  His fun-loving ways and his wit could turn the most difficult situation into an opportunity for you to smile and laugh.  You could always count on Andre for a joke, a smile, or even a funny story to keep the good times rolling.  Andre had an amazing recall remembering events and situations like they were yesterday, that always amazed his family and friends.   Whenever you were in Andre’s presence you knew that you were loved, and you were going to always be in good company.

Andre’s loyalty to his family and friends never wavered.  Throughout life’s events, Andre was there, even after he had relocated to Washington D.C., Andre kept up with his friends through phone calls, text messages and Facebook messages.  You knew you were special if you received a Birthday message sung by Motown’s own “Dre.”  Andre’s friends were in many ways his lifeline.  His mix tapes and eventual playlist served not only as a way of sharing music, but they also told the story of what Andre, and many others were going through at the time they were created.  Andre was always in tune with music no matter what genre or timeline, music spoke to him and he in turn shared it with all who called him friend.

Andre passed away on July 30, 2024.  He was welcomed into the arms of Christ by his parents Charles and Bernadette Womble; his grandparents, Charles and Pauline Womble, and David and Blossom Price.  Andre’s legacy and memory will be celebrated by a host of other family members and friends.
