Andria Louise Doye, born February 22, 1948, in Washington, DC, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. She was raised in Washington, DC, and graduated from Cardoza High School in 1966. Andria attended District of Columbia Teachers College (now UDC) and retired in 2003 from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) at the Department of Commerce.
A woman of faith, Andria attended Union Wesley, Jerusalem Baptist Church, and later became a member of Kingdom Fellowship in 2013, where she volunteered faithfully. She loved reading, traveling, eating crabs, listening to music, and spending time with family—especially her daughter, Nichole Doye Battle, and her granddaughter, Kayla Battle.
Andria was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Margaret Doye, and several beloved friends and family members. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Nichole Doye Battle; granddaughter, Kayla Battle; brother, Andrew M. Doye, Jr.; godson, Curtis Alderman, Jr.; adopted daughters; dear friends; and a host of family and friends.
