On July 31, 1936, the world was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Audrey Leona Graham. Audrey was born to the late Isaac and Mildred (Irene) Graham in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I. where she spent most of her childhood. In 1950, Audrey, her parents and siblings came to Harlem, New York. After graduating from Central Commercial High School, she worked at Campfire Girls until later embarking in a career with The Equitable (later AXA Financial) where she continued to work until her retirement in 1998-1999.
In 1964, Audrey married her childhood friend, Roy Anselmo Plaskett, who also grew up in St. Thomas and came to New York in the 1950’s. After 6 years of marriage, Roy and Audrey Plaskett received a special gift. On April 4, 1971, Debra Lynn, came into this world who would be their one and only child. During Debra’s childhood years, Audrey and Debra enjoyed spending time together, going to the movies, shopping in New York City and visiting Disney World in Orlando, Florida. As Debra matured into an adult, their relationship blossomed even more where they enjoyed nightly conversations with each other - always ending each call with saying “I love you”.
Audrey is survived by brother, Calvin, daughter, Debra; son-in-law, Kevin; grandchildren, Justin and Kiana; sister-in-law, Evan and nieces and nephews.
Audrey joins the following loved ones who have gone to heaven before her: former husband, Roy; parents, Isaac and Irene; brothers, Carlton and Clarence, sister, Ina and sister-in-law, Margaret.
Audrey was a very kind and generous soul who had a heart of gold. She exemplified such strength even until the end. She was loved by many and will truly be missed but never forgotten.
