Bernice Henrietta Murray was born on November 10, 1917 in Montgomery County, Maryland to the late Robert H Sellman and Mary S Sellman. Bernice “Bun” was called home with the Lord on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Manor Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center located in Silver Spring, Maryland. Bernice was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Maryland.
Bernice was educated in Montgomery County. She worked as a domestic worker for many years.
As a child, she attended Emory Grove United Methodist Church and was a member for many years into adulthood. She also attended Shekinah Baptist Church for many years.
She enjoyed doing word searches, cooking, sewing, going to church, games, dressing fancy, singing, spending time with her grandchildren. Bernice was a loving, caring, and very sweet person. Her warm spirit, smile, and demeanor was radiant and heartfelt by all who knew her.
Bernice leaves to cherish her memory five children, Richard Murray, Jr. (Glenda), Leroy Murray (Mae), Jean Claggett (Cakes), Elaine Murray, and Marilyn Stewart (Butch); 12 grandchildren, Tyrone, Pamela, Erik, Mark, Danette, Carol, Devon, Ron, Toi, Tony, Nicole, and Antoine; a host of great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary S. Sellman and father Robert H. Sellman; sisters Eudora Sellman, Eloise Chase; brothers Maynard Sellman, Millard Sellman, James Sellman, and Robert Sellman Jr.

Each adult will need to sign a COVID Waiver Form affirming they have not had any COVID related symptoms or been in contact with anyone with COVID in the last 2 weeks.
