Brandy Robinson Obituary

Brandy Alexandria Robinson, 27, was called home on September 30, 2021. She was born in Rockville, MD on April 7, 1994 to Tammy Dietz, and the late Brian Robinson.

Brandy was a happy child who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In elementary school, Brandy faced a battle against Leukemia. She went through chemotherapy and many trials during her fight against cancer. In spite of this trying time in life, Brandy smiled. She met former First Lady, Laura Bush, who visited Children’s Hospital for the holidays. She was granted a wish by the Make A Wish Foundation and took her family on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas. Thankfully, Brandy overcame her fight against cancer and moved forward in life. Brandy loved sports and had a bit of a competitive edge. She played on basketball teams and often beat her brothers and cousins at the latest video game. She was the first in the water at the beach, and first in line for the rollercoasters at any amusement park! A big part of Brandy’s heart was devoted to the animals in her life, mostly dogs. She loved them all - Coco, Bailey, and Chloe to name a few.

Brandy was a cheerleader for Frederick High school, a perfect fit for her big smile and uplifting energy. She aced her classes which provided her a full scholarship to Towson University. There, she studied Business Management for several years. Brandy was a very hard working young woman who always maintained a job, holding many manager positions. Most recently, she was an auto-mechanic apprentice.

Brandy was a generous young woman who loved everyone around her. Laughing, and joking around made up her infectious personality. In spite of the challenges she faced in life, in spite of the mental and physical pain that plagued her mind and body, Brandy smiled through it all.

Brandy is survived by her grandmother, Virginia Dietz; mother, Tammy Dietz; aunt, Cathlene Dietz (Sef); uncle, Michael Robinson (Lynette); brother, Dominique Dietz (Amber); cousin, Bryan Grooms Jr., and beloved family and friends. Brandy is preceded in death by her father, Brian Lightfoot.
