Our beloved Carol Ann Harris Littleton passed away peacefully at her Silver Spring Maryland home surrounded by her loving family on December 12, 2025. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and Christian. She was born in St. Louis Missouri to James (Jimmie) and Dovie Harris. As a child Carol spent summers in Starkville Mississippi with her Great grandmother Big Momma and her grandmother Little Momma.
She graduated from Sumner High school in St. Louis Missouri ranked fourth in her class. In high school Carol was a founding and active member of the DeLiso Debs which was a social club of childhood friends who had been meeting and coordinating their families for over 75 years. They met for reunions periodically. Also, Carol sang and danced in a three-woman group during high school and performed with this group at her high school graduation.
Carol graduated from University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri (Mizzou) with a degree in Biology/Chemistry in preparation to attend Dental School a goal she later set-aside for her family. Prior to her graduation from “Mizzou" she met and married the love of her life George K. Littleton and they remained married for 65 years until their deaths this year. They will celebrate their wedding anniversary Christmas Eve 2025. Carol and her beloved husband George gave birth to three children-Brian, Leslie and Penya while living in Missouri. Then the family relocated to Silver Spring Maryland in in 1970. Carol worked as a Medical Technologist at Georgetown University, Howard University and other medical facilities in the area. In the 1980’s Carol changed careers and became a licensed Real Estate Agent. There she became a top realtor for Realty Executives and Realty Pros. A major milestone in her real estate career was when Carol located and assisted in the purchase (as the real estate agent) of the property for Olive Branch Community Church in Sandy Spring, Maryland. She and her family have been a member of Olive Branch Community for more than 25 years. She was an active member of the choir and various committees at the Church.
