Cathy Renee Anderson (Cathy), age 68, passed away peacefully August 21, 2021 in Washington, D.C. Her optimism, love, humor, passion and strong friendships will forever live on for her beloved family and her large circle of friends and colleagues.

Cathy most recently served as Senior Advisor at the Public Consulting Group. Her forty five year professional life was dedicated to the those with developmental disabilities and the underserved in communities across the country. Her passion and intelligence were evident and unique. She was widely respected, and her work transformed lives from Maine to Oregon.

While her work took her across the country, Cathy’s roots and core values were in Nebraska where much of her family and many of her friends reside. Cathy was multi-dimensional, both elegant and down to earth. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She loved to shop, travel, and spend time with friends. She was passionate about politics, history, art, and fashion.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Tim, beloved son Max (Jeanine) and her dear sisters Judy (Mike) and Franny (Chuck.) Tim and Max are so thankful for the help and support from Cathy’s family, friends, and colleagues. It helps us to focus on celebrating her amazing life!
