Danilo Revilla Malate

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Danilo R Malate on December 18, 2024 at the age of 75 in our home in Rockville, MD., surrounded by his family in his final moments. He was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherished every moment with his loved ones.

Danny is survived by his wife of 51 years, Tessie, their four children, and their spouses, and his eight grandchildren. He was born in Calauan Laguna in the Philippines, where he spent his younger years. Danny studied aeronautical engineering at Fiati University in Manila. He started a restaurant business w/ his wife before deciding to move to the US with his family in 1984. He, along with his family, was very active in the Filipino church organization where they built a family business and gave back to the Community.

His family and close friends will remember him as a man of light-heartedness and humor bringing joy to everyone around him. His simple views of life and life experiences, which he shared with the people around him, brought joy and lightness to them. His endearing personality and warm heart enabled him to easily make friends wherever he went. Danny touched many lives with his friendship and generosity. He will be remembered for his smile, jokes, and willingness to help others in need. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
