DOMINIQUE ADRIAN CRUTCHFIELD, born February 17, 1984, affectionately known as Dom, suddenly slipped away from this life in Houston, Texas on January 22, 2020. He is the only son of Keith and Winessa Crutchfield. Dominique grew up in Rockville under the watchful eye of his grandmother, Joanne Crutchfield. Joanne was more than a grandmother - she was a mother to him. Dom was educated in Montgomery County Public Schools, graduating in June of 2002. He was known as "Mr. Fix-it”. If you had something that was broken, he would come to your rescue. No job was too big or too small. Dom was there to lend a helping hand. He loved fishing with his dad and friend, Bryan Snowden. Whenever the Snowden's took fishing trips, he was always included. He was introduced to drag racing by his Uncle "Buddy” and Uncle "Smacks". He loved going to 75-80 Drag Strip to watch his uncles' race their "outlaw" drag race car. Dom even became a “Jr. Dragster" driver. Another one of his favorite past times was shooting pool. He would talk big Junk " to whomever he played. Being the "old soul" he was, Dominique loved to hang out with his grandfather, Wellington "Big Crutch" Crutchfield, Sr. He was employed with the Montgomery County Government Transfer Station, FedEx, and was even a school bus driver for the Houston County Public School system before finding his niche as a tractor trailer semi-truck driver for C&C Hale Trucking. At C&C Hale, Dom became one of the family, calling the owners, Chris and Tracy Hale, "Sis " and " Brah". They mentored Dom and in turn he became an asset to their business. Dom helped train new drivers for the business. He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Keith and Winessa Crutchfield, sisters, Denaja Ewings (Donte) and Paris Copeland, nephews, Tristin Crutchfield and Malachi Ewings, grandmothers, Joanne Crutchfield and Mary Young, uncles, Wellington, Jr. (Gretchen), Mark (Tonya) and David Crutchfield (Monique), Wayne, Paul S., Jr. (Tamara), and Marcus Young, aunts, Kerrie Allen (Andre), Leslie Tiller (Chris), Charlotte Crutchfield, Katherine Harriday, and Pauline Young, great uncles Melvin "Smacks Hall, (Cindy) and Richard Prather, great aunt s Brenda Crutchfield, Elaine Crutchfield, and a host of family and friends. Dominique is preceded in death by his grandfather, Wellington Crutchfield, Sr., uncle, Daryl Crutchfield, great grandparents, Melvin Hall, Louise Hall, Henry Crutchfield and Frances Crutchfield, great aunt, Barbara Hall, and great uncle, Warren Gorden Crutchfield. After his passing, the family also mourns the loss of Dominique's great aunt, Dorothy Prather.
