Duane Davis, a longtime resident of Potomac, Maryland, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024, after struggling with long-term health issues. Duane was born in Washington, DC on June 20, 1972, to Walter and Ray Davis. Duane attended Seven Locks Elementary, Cabin John Junior High, and Churchill High School, finishing at Churchill in 1990.
Duane is survived and sorely missed by his son, Duane Jr.; his parents, Walter and Ray Davis; his brother, Wally; his sister-in-law, Kat; his nieces, Libby and Shelby; and a legion of extended family and friends.
Duane was a lifelong, suffering, diehard fan of the Washington Redskins, a passion he had in common with his brother. Duane and his brother went to countless Redskins games over the years, an activity that allowed them to stay particularly close. A devoted father, Duane shared his fandom with his son at a very young age. Unfortunately for his son, as well as any Redskins fan born after the 80's, he has no memory of the glory years. But hope springs eternal.
Relatives and friends are invited to a service for Duane at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, 5450 Massachusetts Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20816 on Friday, August 2 at 1:30 pm.
