Elizabeth Ann Lacey was born on April 17, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, and passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025. Known to many as Ann, she embraced a life of adventure, traveling the world with her husband, Col. (Ret.) Floyd E. Lacey, Sr., and their family as a devoted military wife.
From New York to Hawaii and even abroad in Germany, Ann made a home wherever life took her. Along the way, she pursued her education, slowly but determinedly earning her degree. At the age of 50, she achieved her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, and at 62, she crossed the graduation stage once more, this time earning a Master’s in Public Administration with a focus on Social Work.
Ann worked in the Nashville community as both a child and homeless advocate.
After the passing of Col. Lacey in 2020, Ann moved to Maryland to be closer to her son and his family. She then became a member of the Brookeville, Maryland, community.
Ann will be deeply missed by her family, friends, schoolmates, and all those whose lives she touched.
