Emorej "Reggie" Hildred Obituary

Emorej Llenrad Hildred, affectionately known as "Reggie", passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, Maryland at the age of 53.

Reggie was born on March 30, 1972, in Frederick, Maryland to Cynthia B. Proctor and the late Roy L. Hildred. After graduating from Seneca Valley High School in 1990, Reggie pursued his education at both Montgomery College and Grambling State University, in the field of Information Technology. For the last 20 years, Reggie has been a dedicated employee of Fannie Mae as a Network Engineer.

Reggie grew up with his brother Kelly in Germantown, MD, and attended Montgomery County public schools. Reggie and Kelly enjoyed hiking and picnicking with their mother at Sugarloaf Mountain and Cunningham Falls. They were very adventurous young boys who enjoyed the outdoors, kidding around and a good laugh. More than just brothers, they were truly best friends. Following Kelly’s passing in 1994, now they are reunited in everlasting peace.

In 1991 Reggie met the love of his life, Lisa Shaunette Gibbs and after six years of courtship, they married on August 17, 1996, at Refuge Church in Olney, Maryland. During the course of their marriage, they loved the simple life such as late-night food runs to grab smash burgers, movie nights, binge watching Netflix, taking long walks together and attending cooking classes.

Lisa and Reggie often joked about when they first started dating, they had been looking forward to a night of smooth jazz, thinking they were going to see Jonathan Butler. But somehow, in the process of buying tickets, they ended up at a Jerry Butler concert instead. What started as a mix-up turned into one of their favorite date nights and a funny story, they never got tired of telling. And from that point forward they enjoyed going to see many more of their favorite artists like Jonathan Butler, Marcus Miller, Ledisi and Bruno Mars. There have been many adventures over the years, in 2024, another memorable moment was when the couple were audience members on the Price is Right at the MGM National Harbor Hotel and Casino.

After five years of marriage, they welcomed their first bundle of joy, Jasmine in 2001, followed by the birth of their second child, Isaiah in 2004. The family has resided in Clarksburg, Maryland since 2005.

Reggie and Lisa lived a good life with their children enjoying traveling many times to Hershey Park, Disney World, Jamaica and most recently the Dominican Republic. Jasmine and Isaiah worked alongside their parents helping with his photography business, InnerVision Photography, where weekends were often packed with long hours of photo events. Though the work was exhausting, from setting up lighting, putting up tents, to taking photos, all of them played a vital role in keeping the business running smoothly. The kids often referred to their dad as a "Demanding Boss", however, the shared experiences brought them closer together as a family and taught them the value of teamwork, strong work ethic, and dedication.

Reggie's love of photography created a spark in him that led to becoming a renowned professional sports photographer. Establishing his own brand and company in 2011 under InnerVision Photography, Reggie had started his entrepreneurial path. His unmatched skills with the camera and keen eye for capturing the moment provided him with the opportunity to cover the Washington D.C., and Baltimore, Maryland area sports franchises to include the Commanders (Redskins), Wizards, Capitals, Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles. He covered sporting events for USA Today Sports, Undrafted US, Imagn Images, Cal Sports Media, Freed Photography, Lifetouch, All Pro Reels, and many other sports wires. Reggie's photography was often recognized and published by ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Washington Post, USA Today, and many other sports publications and websites. His portfolio is vast, and also includes work for youth sports leagues, universities and local schools within the DMV and Pennsylvania areas.

As an avid sports fan, the revamping of the Washington Commanders, reinvigorated Reggie's love for football. And don't get him started on basketball, most conversations were bound to end in a debate over Lebron vs Jordan.

Reggie possessed a kind and encouraging spirit that was evident to everyone he met. He

was a Mentor, Friend, and Confidant - once you were in his circle you knew it, and you benefited from any time you spent in his presence. He was a lover of music, especially Hip Hop. He was a phenomenal cook and grill master who could create a meal fit for a king, honing his cooking skills over the 2020 Pandemic.

Reggie was preceded in death by his father Roy L. Hildred, brother Kelly R. Burns, maternal

grandparents Claude Sr. and Marie Proctor and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his beloved wife Lisa of 29 years, daughter Jasmine and son Isaiah; his mother Cindy Proctor; three aunts, Betty Bumbray, Kimberly Gray, and Penny Proctor; three uncles, Claude Jr., Ronald and Gregory.

He also leaves to mourn and cherish his memories, nephew D'Angelo Gibbs (Caroline); two nieces, Jocelyn Stapp (Jerry), and Patrice Brandford; seven great nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law; Terri Gibbs (James), Jamie Gibbs, and Brittney Quintanilla (Eraldo) and a host of cousins, family and friends.
