Francis Lee III Obituary

Francis Harris Lee, affectionately known as Baby Lee, was born at Shady Grove Hospital on March 29th, 1984 in Rockville, Maryland to the late Francis H Lee Jr. and Wanda Holland. Francis unexpectedly departed his life on earth Friday, June 26th, 2021.

Francis grew up in Montgomery County Maryland, he attended Summit Hall Elementary, Argyle Middle School and Sherwood High School. As a young child he was always looking for ways to make people smile. His heart  was as big as a shining star. If he called you his friend, then you knew it would be for life. He greeted everyone with a smile. No matter who you were he could never look down on anyone. Realizing that his ability to play sports came natural to him, He began playing football and basketball. He could play for the weakest team, and they would end up superstars by the end of the season. He enjoyed winning, but most of all, he liked seeing the underdog come out on top. Especially if it meant a party afterwards.

Oh! How he loved to party. He always took pride in how he dressed. It started first when he wore white linen dress pants and a button up dress shirt for his sixth-grade school pictures. From that moment on, he understood that his unique fashion would allow him to stand out in a crowd. Just Look for the color red, and you knew Francis did not come to play. It became his trademark. He also enjoyed being the comedian in the family, he could put a smile on everyone’s face and always had a smile on his.

It’s no secret that Francis was a ladies’ man. Growing up, he would serenade his lady friends and sing to them on the phone. As a young adult he became very passionate about raising and taking care of dogs. He also enjoyed auto mechanics and was very good at it. Francis had many talents and could do anything that he set his mind to. He loved his friends and his family and enjoyed spending time with them as much as he could. He was a wonderful family man and would do anything for them. He had a very special place in his heart for each one of his children and loved them each in his own special way.

Francis adored his brother, Dre. They had a close bond and they loved to play football and basketball together. Kimmy, was his big, little sister and although he was older than her, he always looked up to her. He always knew that he could count on and depend on his brother Allen in times of need. As independent as he was, even as a grown man, he always looked to his Mother for reassurance. He was a true Mama’s Boy at heart.

Francis leaves in his memory his 9 beautiful children, Amarian Stevenson, Amaya Lee Smith, Dayshawn Lee, Tayshawn Lee, Messiah Fields, Mason Fields, Royal-Jabari Fields, Angelo Thomas, and Kaibry King; his beloved Mother, Wanda Holland; his two brothers, Andre Howard and Allen Howard and his sister, Kimberly Lee; his 3 aunts Gloria Walker, Patricia Mason, and Gwendolyn Riggs; his two nephews, Andrew Barnes and Alonzo Dunn; his cousins, Matthew Parker, Erica Zeigler-Najjar, and Ryan Holmes; his God-brothers Trent and Travis Herbon, and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
