Gregory Swan Thompson, 66, entered eternal rest on November 29, 2025, in Clarksburg, Maryland. He was born on November 15, 1959, in Englewood, New Jersey, and lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication, service, and love.

Gregory proudly served his country in the United States Army from January 8, 1980, to January 20, 1989. Throughout his military career, he earned numerous honors, including the Army Achievement Medal, two Army Good Conduct Awards, Special Service Award, Performance Award, a Letter of Appreciation, and Certificate of Recognition. His commitment to excellence and service was evident throughout his years in uniform.

In May 1989, Gregory continued his dedication to his country as an Information Technology Specialist with Top Secret Clearance for the Department of Defense. He served faithfully until his retirement in December 2007, building a respected career marked by professionalism, integrity, and expertise.

Gregory embraced life with energy, humor, and curiosity. He loved car racing, tennis, music, cracking jokes, and refurbishing computers. He proudly expressed his passion as a member of the Gaithersburg Corvette Club. His wit, kindness, and warm spirit left lasting impressions on everyone who knew him.

Gregory is preceded in death by his mother, Linda H. Swan; grandmother, Alissa Thompson; and his sisters, Donella Jean Thompson and Melvina Martin.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Clarise P. Thompson; loving sister, Judith Thompson; three adoring sisters-in-law, Carmen Paige, Charise Paige, and Linda Wright (Steven); and his five beloved children:

• Tiffany M. R. Gonzalez (Luis)

• Gregory S. Thompson, Jr. (Courtney)

• Brody J. P. Thompson

• Lanae H. P. Thompson

• Harrison J. P. Thompson

Gregory also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren:

Lennox Angel Gonzalez, Roman Luis Gonzalez, Gianna Jade Thompson, and Jordyn Simone Thompson, and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom will continue to carry his memory forward with pride and love.

Gregory’s life was a testament to loyalty, service, humor, and enduring love. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
