Katrina Ann Chavers, 54, of Montgomery Village, Maryland, transitioned from earth to paradise on October 19, 2025, surrounded by love and peace. Born on November 29, 1970, Katrina was known for the way her eyes sparkled with passion, her strong spirit, and devotion to her family and faith.
Katrina cherished every moment spent with her family and delighted in creating memories together, from snowy mountain weekends to sun-soaked tropical escapes. Her passion for the holidays and celebrating with loved ones was evident in every corner of her home, lovingly decorated with care and creativity. Friends and family alike were always greeted by her signature door arrangement, a small glimpse of the warmth and joy that filled her home.
Katrina worked at several private and government agencies, including the NCR, Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where she spent 11 years.
Katrina leaves to cherish her memory her son Jalen, daughter Brooklyn, father Paul Plummer, mother Ann Plummer, stepson Nuri, grandson Judah, sister/cousin Vanessa Phillips (Terence); aunts Beverly Clipper, Deborah Powers, Phyllis Diggs; uncles Les Plummer, Larry Plummer, Louis DeMar, Steve Clipper; former spouse Stephen Chavers, former mother-in-law Linda Chavers; best friends Iris Perry, Nikora Groomes, Joanna King, Daphne Giles; and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul S. Plummer, Betty J. Plummer, Genevieve DeMar, and Louis Webster, as well as her godparents, Bernice DeMar and Charles Hawkins.
Katrina’s strong spirit and boundless love leave a lasting imprint on the hearts of her family and friends, who will miss her dearly.
