Kendall Bernard Butler, Jr., affectionately known as Bernard, Huncho Diggs, or Bubba, passed away on November 8, 2025, in Germantown, MD, at the age of 34. Born on May 25, 1991, in Rockville, MD, Bernard was a cherished son, brother, and friend to many.
Bernard grew up with a love for sports, especially football and basketball, and spent countless hours enjoying games on his Xbox. He was known for his warm smile and the joy he brought to gatherings, always surrounded by family and friends who cherished his company.
Professionally, Bernard worked as a cook at Ruby Tuesday in Frederick, MD, where he was known for his dedication and skill in the kitchen. His colleagues and patrons appreciated his hard work and passion for what he did.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Anita Louise Stewart, whose memory he held dear throughout his life.
Bernard's legacy continues through his loving mother, Vera Barron; his father, Kendall Bernard Butler Sr.; his stepmother, Nona Butler; and his siblings, Sherre Wilson, Shayne Butler, William Wilson Jr., and Gerald Butler. He is also survived by his grandparents, Robert Jazz Stewart, Delores Thornton, and Stanley Offard, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In the words of his mother, "He wasn’t just my son; he was my best friend."
Bernard's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
