Lonnie Alexander was the third child of Bertha Blyther and James Alexander. He was born in the small town of Chase City, Virginia, which he often visited over the years. He was a graduate of West End High School in Chase City, Virginia and furthered his education at Virginia Union. He worked many jobs prior to working at Amalgamated Transit (Metro) as a bus operator for 28 years where he retired in 2002.  Lonnie and Sharon were married in 1983. During that union, Donte and Nicole were born.  He leaves to mourn his children Tanya, Carlos (Kara), Donte (Grisel) and Nicole (Tarinnel), 13 Grandchildren, Sicili, Secunda, Tanya, Cayla, Carlos Jr., Cyar, Ian, Israel, Sasha,  Luke, Summer, Danica and Gio and 1 Great-Granddaughter I'sha, 4 siblings, Samuel Alexander, Nettie Stewart, Lillie Tolson (Phil),  Yvonne Shelton (John), 3 brother-in-law's, Vincent Sizer (Gigi), Christian Pelucia,  Highland Sizer Jr. (Uva) and Mother-in-law, Marie Moore Sizer. He was preceded in death by his siblings Robert Alexander, Sadie Patterson Brenda Alexander and Eileen.  He also leaves to mourn a host of Nieces, Nephew's, and friends.
