Louis Alexander Adams was born on Sunday, April 29th, 1928, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore MD. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1st , 2024, at the age of 96. Louis was raised in Montgomery County, Maryland along with siblings, Sylvia Harvey, Doris Hayes, Ernestine Adams, Samuel Adams and Delores Thomas. Louis attended Spencerville School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1947. He dedicated nearly four decades of his life to Montgomery County Schools before retiring in 2004.
Louis and his beloved wife, Dorothy relocated to Richlands, North Carolina, in 2004, where they enjoyed their retirement together amongst family and friends.
Louis had a deep passion for horticulture, which stemmed from his fond childhood memories of being in the 4-H Club and participating in competitions in Princess Anne, Maryland. This passion stayed with him throughout his life and brought him great joy in retirement.
Louis is survived by his children, Cynthia White, Louis Adams, Jr. (Jean), Sandra Reeder (Carl), Jacqueline Adams, Jackie Adams, Tim Adams (Chris), and Dion Adams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Adams, and three children, Kathy, Michael (Tony), and Jacques Adams. He is also survived by one sister, Delores Thomas, and a brother, Samuel Adams. Louis leaves 23 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Louis will be remembered as a pillar of his family and a true patriarch. He leaves love, fondness, and wonderful memories in the hearts of those who knew him. His legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
