Marcus Roberts aka Rasool, was born January 26th, 1974 in St. Croix U.S. Virgin Islands. Marcus passed away February 17th, 2020 in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Marcus left St. Croix in 1986 and moved to New York where he attended Peekskill Middle School. He then, later on, graduated from Peekskill High School and continued his education at Lincoln University located in Lincoln University, Pennsylvania
He worked for corporate America many years of his life before becoming self-employed. Marcus really enjoyed cooking and spending his free time writing notebooks full of rhymes. He was an amazing chef, and everyone adored his food. The amount of care, love that was put into each meal was evident through its taste. He also enjoyed spending his free time watching basketball and football. He was a big fan of the New York Knicks and the New York Giants.
Marcus relocated to Gaithersburg, Maryland of Montgomery County in 2004. He worked immensely to support his family, despite the circumstances of each given situation. For years, Marcus would ride his bike to and from work whenever vehicular transportation was not an available option. He always did what was necessary to provide for his family. He never cared for commercial things, he cared for the true meaning of a celebration, not the materialistic things that came along with it. He was a great, intelligent man built with integrity and loyalty.
He leaves behind his only child, Indya Roberts and her mother, Adrienne Searight. He joins his father, John Roberts, in heaven as he leaves behind his immediate family. His mother, Joyce Roberts, and his four brothers; John Roberts Jr. (JJ), Jamal Yacub, Jameel Yacub, and Salim Yacub.
