Mary Gertrude Wright

Mary (Mom) Wright was born in Montclair, New Jersey on January 7, 1925, to Rupert and Adele Herbert. Mary was one of five children and as an adult Mary met the love of her life William (Pop)Wright in August 1944 and married on December 1, 1945 and were together in union the next 63 years. William and Mary raised their children in Brooklyn New York, before moving on to East Orange, followed by Neptune New Jersey and finally in Germantown and Frederick Maryland. Throughout her years Mary was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who enjoyed family. Somone was always at THE HOUSE, if not one of her children one of her grandchildren. She was a stickler for behaving yourself and speaking proper English and her impact was felt for generations to come and will be deeply missed. In passing Mary joins her husband of 63 yrs. William, and leaves behind two sons Ernest and Kenneth Wright and one daughter Catherine Chaney (preceded by sons Lawrence and Ronald Wright. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Todd, Kendra and Kyle Jenkins, Andrew and Shelby Wright, and Lisa Chaney. Thirteen greatgrandchildren and eleven great great-grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones. She also joins in passing siblings Robert, Chester, Julia, and Hilda respectfully.
