Mildred Alzata Bradsher, age seventy-eight, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 6, 2026, in Bowie, Maryland, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.
Life’s journey for Mildred began on July 13, 1947, in Augusta, Georgia, where she was born to the late Lucius Mack and Rena Mack. She was the eldest of three children and carried that role with quiet leadership, compassion, and strength throughout her life.
Mildred was educated in the District of Columbia Public School System and proudly graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1966. Shortly thereafter, she met the love of her life, Bobby Bradsher, Sr. Their union in Holy Matrimony in 1968 marked the beginning of a devoted marriage of fifty-seven beautiful years. From this loving union, they were blessed with two children, Bobby and Bonita, whom Mildred cherished deeply.
A woman of dedication and service, Mildred wore many hats throughout her life. She served faithfully as a homemaker, worked as a dental assistant, and later became employed at the Washington Convention Center, where she dedicated many years of service before retiring. Mildred began a second career in childcare, earning an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She worked alongside her daughter, Bonita, at Bundle of Joy, where nurturing and caring for children brought her immense happiness and fulfillment.
Mildred was a living example of grace, humility, and gentle strength. Family was the center of her world; especially her husband and children. Her life reflected an unwavering commitment to love, care, and selflessness. She gave freely of her heart, and those who knew her felt it deeply. Her presence was comforting, her spirit kind, and her love unconditional. If you knew Mildred, you knew you were loved.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Lucius Mack and Rena Keyes; her devoted stepfather, Cleveland Keyes; brother, Paul Mack (Yvette); and aunt, Carrie Jones. She leaves to cherish precious memories, her devoted husband, Bobby Bradsher, Sr.; son, Bobby Bradsher, Jr. (Kim) of Ellicott City, MD; daughter, Bonita Robinson (Derrick) of Bowie, MD; three grandsons, Bobby Bradsher III, Brandon Bradsher, and Derrick Robinson, Jr.; brother, Clinton Mack (Patricia) of Clinton, MD; Aunt, Ilean Dixon of Staton Island, NY; cousin, James Moss of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Deborah Thompson of Burlington, NC; Goddaughter, Natalie Thompson of Waldorf, MD; dear friends, Rachel Shields, Barbara Jean, Cynthia Pree, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, who will forever treasure her memory.
