Mildred V. Whitehurst was born on January 2, 1928 and passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021. She was a resident of Silver Spring, Maryland.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mildred Poole Plummer; son William Whitehurst; two sisters, Marjorie Spivey and Francis Plummer; three brothers, Edward 'Warren' Plummer, Calvin 'Buster' Plummer and Isaiah Plummer and son-in-law Robert Ratcliff.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Vincent and Vernon (spouse Iris); five daughters: Arlene (spouse Johnny Arthur), Patricia (spouse Donald Nash), Maria Ratcliff, Brenda (spouse Douglas Ortega), and Cheryl; brother Melchizedek Plummer, Sr.; eleven grandchildren: Toni Arthur, Derrick Whitehurst, Arlan Arthur, Corey Nash, Xachery Whitehurst, Sydney Ortega, Nathaniel Whitehurst, Hope Alexandria Whitehurst, Janna Whitehurst, Jaymin Ortega and Maxwell Whitehurst; , one great grandchild Tiffany Arthur, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
