Roland Nathan Carter Obituary
Roland Nathan Carter, affectionately known to many as “Jiggs,” was born on September 15, 1960, at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, to the late Joseph Carter Sr. and Helene Carter. He was the middle of three children and grew up surrounded by family, forming bonds that would remain an important part of his life.
Roland spent the majority of his life in Silver Spring, Maryland, where he became a beloved and familiar presence in the community. To those who knew him, he was more than a son, brother, father, grandfather, and uncle; he was a friend, a family man, and a true Bel Pre legend. His personality, presence, and the memories he created with those around him will forever remain a part of the community and the hearts of those who loved him.
Roland unexpectedly departed this life on Friday, September 11, 2026. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though his time with us was unexpectedly cut short, Roland’s legacy will live on through the people he loved, the lives he touched, and the countless memories he leaves behind.
Rest peacefully, Roland. Your legacy will live on forever.
