Ronald Parrott, Jr. Obituary

Ronald E. Parrott, Jr. of Gaithersburg, MD departed this life unexpectedly on June 9th, 2025 at the age of 65.  Ron was the beloved husband of Margaret Parrott (nee Manger), and the loving father of Ronald (Ronnie) E. Parrott III, of Gaithersburg, and of Bailey E. Salvador of Seattle, WA.  Ron is survived by his father Ronald E. Parrott Sr. of Sandy Spring, MD.  Ron’s loving mother Mary Ellen Parrott passed away in 2001.  Ron will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, including Candice, Jeffrey, JJ, Michael, Carla, Chris, Jack, and Jesse, all of whom adored him.

Ron was born in Washington, DC and raised in Sandy Spring, MD.  He graduated from Sherwood High School and subsequently earned an AA degree from Montgomery College.  Ron and Margie were married in December 1996.

Ron exuded joy and enthusiasm throughout his life and career.  He worked for Montgomery County Public School for over 40 years primarily supporting the Department of Materials Management throughout the county.  He was the mailroom Operations Supervisor at the time of his death.  He is regarded as a legend by many MCPS co-workers and staff members.

Ron had a special talent for organization and a fondness for cleanliness.  And he always took ribbing about these characteristics good-naturedly.  His in-laws regarded him as a brother or son despite Ron’s rabid support of the Dallas Cowboys.

Ron will be forever remembered by his beloved family and his multitude of friends and colleagues.
