Sandra Patricia Mosley Obituary

Sandra Patricia Mosley, 76, of Silver Spring, MD, passed away peacefully on her birthday, July 19, 2025.

Sandra was born in Newark, NJ, on July 19, 1949, a date that would forever hold special significance. She was a proud graduate of Weequahic High School, having attended Newark public schools. For many years, Sandra was a vibrant presence in her community, living and working in Newark, where she was affectionately known as a "mother to many." Her professional career spanned several notable companies, including Verizon, MBNA, and Bank of America, where her dedication and strong work ethic shone through.

Later in life, Sandra embraced a new chapter, moving to Atlanta, GA, to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. It was there that she truly flourished in her cherished new role as "Grandma." In 2019, she moved with her family to Maryland, quickly creating a vibrant life for herself. She was a constant and loving presence at her grandchildren's school events, an active and engaged member of her gym community, and delighted in traveling with friends and family, always making new memories.

Sandra was the beloved mother of Zakee Howard (Claudia) and the cherished grandmother of Caleb Howard and Avery Howard, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her loving brother, William Mosley; her devoted sister, Andrea Penn; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
