Obituary
Shirley Bowie, 84, of Gaithersburg Maryland passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Shirley was born on October 10, 1938, in Ironside, Maryland. She attended Charles County Public Schools. Shirley worked for many years as a food service worker for multiple restaurants and ultimately served as caregiver to her husband until he passed away.
During her spare time, she enjoyed listening to music, playing cards, visiting the casino, and entertaining her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allan Bowie, daughter, Theresa Wright, and parents, Sherman Proctor and Jane Keys.
She leaves to cherish her memories a host of relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Collingswood Rehabilitation and Nursing for the amazing care they provided to her.
