Tracey Randolph Obituary

TRACEY ALITA RANDOLPH was born June 27, 1966, in Centerville, Illinois. She was a loving, devoted daughter, wife, sister, aunt, God-mother, step-mother, niece, cousin, Church family member, co-worker, and friend. After battling sarcoidosis more than twenty-seven years, Tracey departed this life peacefully Thursday, February 1, 2024.

Tracey accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized at Southern Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Brooklyn, Illinois. There she attended Sunday School and sang in the Youth Choir. One of her favorite songs—which she led in the choir—was “Since I Met Jesus.” Later she moved to Springfield, Illinois, where she attended Union Baptist Church. After relocating to Germantown, Maryland, Tracey united with Journey’s Crossing Church where she thoroughly enjoyed hearing the preached Word and serving as a Greeter.

Tracey leaves to cherish her memory, a beloved blended family—her husband, Wayne; her parents, Norval and Reverend Lolita Hickman; step-mother, Toni Perrin; step-children, Paris Randolph, Towanna (Kenneth) Thorne, Wayne (Shonette) Stallings, Lawanna Stallings, Clifton Randolph and Ebony Randolph; God Sons, Darrien Shelby and Ahmed Brooks; three sisters, Nichelle Hickman, Yolanda Chism and De’Nerika (Tyrone) Johnson; four brothers, Victor (Catherine) Perrin, Dr. Norval J. (Taylour) Hickman, III, Alonzo Antonio Perrin, and DeMarko Ward, Sr.; two aunts, Janice (Billy) Davis and Seretta Thomas; one great-uncle, Rev. Claude E. (Montrula) Shelby, Sr.; God-mother, Lois Douglas; six nephews and four nieces; many cousins, including her “brother-cousin”, Alan (Angela) Boyd and her “FC” (favorite cousin) Tamika Brooks; special church sisters; ORI colleagues; a host of friends, including Abimbola Alade and Theresa Hayes (friends since 1988).
