William J. Thomas Jr., better known as Skeeter (Bobby) to his family and friends, was born on November 5, 1946, to the late William J. Thomas Sr. ( Winnie ) and Mable V. Thomas. William graduated from Montgomery County Public Schools and retired from the Montgomery County Government after 25 years.
He didn’t just stop there after retiring went to work for the Housing Opportunity Commission at Arcola towers until 2019. He was definitely a hard worker. He will forever be remembered for his stylish clothes, which he learned at an early age from his uncles. If you know William, he was always dressed to impress from his hats down to his socks and never wore tennis shoes. He would often travel to Washington D.C. just to shop for clothes, a hobby that he enjoyed with his Daughter ( Raquia Addison). Skeeter would call his daughter every morning to make sure she was up and ready for work. William was a die-hard Redskins Fan and watched them every Sunday.
On November 5, 2021, on his 75th Birthday, William departed his life and will be joining his Parents in eternal. He was a loving, caring father and grandfather, a compassionate friend that would surely leave a smile on your face.
William leaves behind his Daughter Raquia Addison ( Deon Hilton), long-life friend Adrienne Addison (Dean), 3 Stepchildren: Clarence Plummer , Tashae Hill , Kyeisha Hill; and 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild , 3 aunts Hazel Offutt, Carolyn Weedon, Hope William. And a host of family and friends and coworkers .
