Clifton Lee Obituary

CLIFTON DOWAYNE LEE, SR., 83 was called home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2019.Born in Montgomery County, Maryland on July 8,1936. Clifton was fondly known as “Stinky” or “Creeper”. He was the son of Theodore Prather and Louise Mathews. Clifton attended Montgomery County Public Schools. Lincoln High and graduated from Carver High School.

Stinky was a dedicated father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was known for his pleasant spirit and smile that would brighten any dark room. Stinky spent most of his childhood helping older family members. He had an old soul. He cherished his sister Daisy. He loved all his children, grands and other family dearly. He would help anyone if he could. He enjoyed his down time at the 7-Eleven office with his boys Baby George, John Boy Washington, Smack, Charles, and Rev Jones.

CLIFTON also had a special love for tractors. He went to truck and tractor shows with his nephew Mark and son Sputnizk. Oh and when he got home in the evening, be careful not to call him after 8pm and DON’T INTERRUPT HIS WRESTLING!! He knew tennis like he played the game himself. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys Fan!

In Clifton’s younger years he worked for Bancroft as a chauffeur. He worked at St. Peters Church and retired from St. Francis Church. He was loved by all he worked for, he worked well with everyone and those that worked with him had nothing but the kindest words to say about him.

CLIFTON also had his own lawn businesses. Keeping many properties in such tiptop shape in Montgomery County. On the lawns he was responsible for, you wouldn’t need a blanket to lie down on for a nap.

CLIFTON was proceeded in death by his grandmother Daisy Lee, his mother Louise Mathews, and his father Theodore Prather. Also his brothers Francis “Shot”, Julius “Doll Baby”, Calvin “Fatman”; sisters Carolyn “Shorty” and Katherine “Peach”; sons Dowayne and Clifton “Sputnizk”; and great-grandsons Jermaine and Wayne.
