James Matthes Griffin

JAMES MATHIS GRIFFIN, age 82 passed away unexpected on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland.  He was born September 28, 1935 to the late Annie Clyde Fleming-Griffin and J.C. Griffin in Brundidge, Alabama. He attended Pike County High school and moved to New York.  There he married Frances Griffin on November 3, 1963 in New Rochelle, New York.  James is survived by his wife, Francis Griffin and six children, Ray A. Griffin, Arnitrice D. Griffin, Sacavia Mia Brown (Henry Brown), Lunette Griffin (Alexander Basnight), Patrice Griffin, and Derdria Griffin-Rodriquez (Jaime Rodriquez): fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren; and one nephew Terronnie Bronxfield and host of other relatives, family and friends.
