Holidays were special and it was reflected in the way she went about doing things. She was a great cook and always made sure her family had delicious traditional Thanksgiving dinners. It was important to her that her brothers and sister had a place to go for Thanksgiving, carrying on the legacy of her mom. At Christmas time, Beverly would look for the perfect "live" tree and spend hours decorating it to ensure everything was in its proper place. She was also a meticulous Christmas gift wrapper, coordinating packages to match her decorations.
Beverly had an unconditional love for family, which included helping to raise and nurture her niece Kisha with a mother-like passion that extended to her great nieces Alexandria Raye, Noelle Adrianna and Gabrielle Alaya Horne. As they grew so did her pride, with each achievement and accomplishment. She sought to make sure they didn't want for anything. Highlights of her time with them included visits to Disney theme parks and beaches. Her smile reflecting the joy that came from anxiously watching their growth with anticipation of seeing them achieve no less than greatness! With that same love for family, coupled with a unique bravery that seeks to avoid inconveniencing others, she sought to manage her illness in relative secrecy.
Beverly was dedicated and faithful to the Order of the Eastern Star, Prince Hall Affiliated, Stat e of Maryland and its Jurisdiction. Her involvement in the Order was an important part of her life and she so loved being a member that she was determined to continue her duties up until her health would no longer permit it.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Donald A. Conaway; his children Tammie Conaway Manson (Robert), Kim Samedi (Emanuel ), Karl Greaves and Jimmy Greaves; two brothers, Arthur
