Brenda Taliaferro Arnwine

Brenda Taliaferro Arnwine of Rockville, MD, peacefully transitioned surrounded by loved ones on February 25, 2021. Born on July 15, 1942 in Martinsville, VA, she graduated from Hampton Institute in 1962 and was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. for over 60 years. Brenda served 41 years as a Chemist at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. 

She is survived by her loving husband, COL Billy C. Arnwine USA (Ret), children Dr. Kristina Arnwine Toliver (Michael) and Michael Arnwine (Alice), sister Cecelia Tucker, bonus daughters Hope Lindsay, Patricia Arnwine, and Lori Arnwine Moore, treasured grandchildren Michael, Mia, Danielle, Carmen, Jordan, and Noelle, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was pre-deceased by her brother Emmett Nelson Taliaferro II. A private celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 6, and she will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
