Dr. Jack Alexander Goode

Born June 21, 1944 in Knoxville, TN, Jack A. Goode, 77, of Rockville, passed peacefully at Casey House, Sunday June 19, 2022. He was predeceased by parents LTC (US Army) William and Lois Alexander Goode and twin brother Capt. (USAF) William E. Goode.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, M. Ann Goode; sons Jack A. Goode, II (Beneta) and Jason A. Goode; brothers Gregory Goode and Christopher Goode (Karen); grandsons Jalen E. Goode and Jack A. Goode, III; sister-in-law Jean Richardson (Claudius); nieces Danielle and Ariel Richardson; and nephews Jarred (Alexandria) and Julian Goode.
In addition to being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Jack pursued a medical and military career.
He was educated eight years in Germany at Army ES/MS/HS dependent schools; graduated Dudley HS (NC), NC A&T State University (B.S.), and Meharry Medical College (M.D.).
Jack was board certified in OB-GYN and Radiology. He had military tours at Brooke Army Medical Center (Ft. Sam Houston, TX); Fort Rucker, AL; Fort Bragg, NC; Fort Benning, GA, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Fort Meade, MD. He was a Flight Surgeon at Fort Bragg.
Jack received the following military awards: Army Commendation Medal, The Meritorious Service Medal, and The Legion of Merit.
Jack was a collector of Buffalo Soldier art, statues, memorabilia; swords, model airplanes and cars, eagle statues, military war replicas, magnets, and cups.
He was a history buff and enjoyed reading; listening to all types of music; attending jazz festivals/concerts, sporting events, Broadway plays; travel; Paradise Island, Bahamas; NYC; Dallas Cowboys and Dodgers; and most importantly, his family.
Jack was a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
In addition to his military medical career, Jack also worked at Beaumont Radiology (TX) and Howard University Hospital Department of Radiology.
