Juliet Irwina Sazuze Lake was born on November 6th, 1949 in Naperi, Blantyre to Janet and Francis Sazuze, she was the 5th born child of six children. As a child, her father was a district commissioner, and they traveled a lot throughout Malawi and living in different districts. She attended Our Lady of Wisdom Secondary School and thereafter worked for the Malawi Post Office. She left Malawi in November 1993 for Hawaii where she lived for 12 years. In 2005, she left the island of Oahu and moved to San Antonio, Texas. Juliet worked as a healthcare worker for 25 fulfilling years. In 2015, she moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland to be with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. She continued her work in healthcare and in 2018 retired. She was looking forward to moving back to her home country of Malawi to be with her two sisters, brother, nephew, nieces, and grandchildren.
Juliet loved traveling, she loved gardening and loved most especially flowers. She also enjoyed style and had a great sense of fashion. She loved music and could dance up a storm. She loved outings and enjoyed going out to dinners and movie dates with friends and family. Juliet was a devote Christian and had a strong relationship with her Lord and Savior. In her final days, she accepted her faith and on Friday, March 26, 2021 she went peacefully to heaven. She will be immensely missed but will always remain in our hearts. She is survived by her daughter Florence, son in law Mteuka, grandchildren Zenani, Zikani, Zamani. She is also survived by her older sisters Beatrice Ainsworth, Helen Mkona and younger brother Francis Sazuze and list of nephews and nieces.
