Julius Edward Cyrus was a devoted and loving friend and family man. He had a soft-spoken mannerism, was serious minded, and truly a joy to be around. He was highly motivated, kind-hearted and loving.
Julius began this journey called life on December 15, 1949, in Montgomery, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Cyrus, mother Mary E. Cyrus and brother Robert F. Cyrus, Jr. He was also preceded in death by all of his beloved uncles, uncles and grandparents.
He leaves to mourn his devoted companion, Ms. Sybil Walston; several cousins, including, Mrs. Marion Griffith (Lemmie), Carolyn Crawford, Bessie Crawford-Williams, David A. Crawford, Matthew Crawford, and McClinton Crawford, Jr. His godchildren including, Radiance Walters-Harris, Esq., Teri Newell and McKinley Williams. Also, left to cherish precious memories, his former wife Vanita Gail Cyrus-Stone
Julius attended George Washington Carver High School in Montgomery Alabama and a proud graduate of Alabama State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After graduation, he continued his education in computer science. Julius was employed at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD for more than 42 years. He was blessed to travel nationally and internationally with many business opportunities. He owned several businesses throughout his lifetime.
He confessed hope in Christ at an early age in Alabama. He later joined St. Paul Baptist Church in Washington, DC. Julius loved the Lord and tried to live by His Word.
